cw christianism discussion
i have been reading the bible a little each night before sleeping for the past two days, out of curiosity and of desire to take my own conclusions on the narrative. it seems that, God is afraid of what he created, he loves, but also despises man, the creature made of his own image. he gives man free will, but when man goes against what God wanted, he is serverly punished. the snake is punished for giving people an alternate to God. it seems that, at least on the Genesis book, that to have faith is to blindly accept the narrative God has created. even if you don't like or agree with it, you can't change the narrative, or you will shall fall of grace.
both God and Man have the power to create, to alter reality around them, according to the Genesis, both of them know evil and good. the bible seems to work on pararells, as i have observed, the narrative always comes back to a fight between two distint concepts. some i have observed are: Good x Evil, Man x Woman, God x Man, Cain x Abel, Earth x Sky, Faith x Sin, Eternity x Death, etc. its a very interessing way to wave a narrative, to have this constant. in a certain passage God says men uses their power of imagination to only do evil (at least according to my translation), so, God regrets creating life. isnt that really something? God gives the power of creation to man, the power to shape their own path, and then regrets that. so, he chooses Noah out of all other men on the world, and chooses to wipe the rest of it. really, interessing. the God presented to us in Genesis seems to be a vegenful individual, with complex emotions towards his creations. he is human, very much like his creations. as it's stated on the first book of Genesis "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." thus, we can believe that God is and was always capable of every emotion man is capable of, the full range of both good and evil.
